This is a beautifully written children's book about a child named Evan, and his quest to earn a new bike, through which he learns a lot about himself and that kindness goes a long way. What's interesting is that this story was actually based on the author's experience as a kid out there earning her own bike while growing up in Africa. The writing was superb, and the illustrations are so perfect! It would make a great story to read to children to instill the true meaning of kindness, and it would also make a great classroom read. I give this wonderful book 5 stars!
